Jasminum officinale is a climbing shrub with long climbing stems, reaching up to 5 meters. Later the stems become woody and light brown. Recent branches with leaves are green, hairless (or with sparse pubescence), angular or fluted.

Use: Antiseptic, antidepressant, antispasmodic, aphrodisiac, cicatrisant, expectorant, sedative, tonic. Jasmine oil is uplifting and euphoric and so helps boost confidence, while at the same time it is reducing fears and anxieties. Helps for soothing coughs, sore throats and laryngitis. Ease muscle aches and pains, sprains and stiff limbs. Useful for regulating menstruation and easing painful periods. Helps improve the skin’s elasticity. Also good for stretch marks and scars.

Diffusion: Put a few drops in a diffuser/burner to ease anxiety and nervousness, and to help lift depression. Also beneficial for relaxation when treating addictions.

Bath: Put a few drops in a hot bath to help relieve stress and tension. Also good for muscle aches and pains..

Blends well with: bergamot, sandalwood, cypress, neroli, rose, and lavender.
